An Important Update for Our Songwriter’s Pad Free Account Holders

Songwriter’s Pad AI is growing fast, and to keep improving the platform, we’re retiring the free plan. Here’s what you need to know — and how to keep writing without interruption.

The Value We Deliver

Since relaunching Songwriter’s Pad AI in 2024, we’ve added powerful features that help you write better lyrics, faster — including the AI Lyric Generator, cloud backup, and sync across iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows, and Web. You’ve helped shape SP AI into a creative home for songwriters worldwide, and we’re just getting started.

What's Changing

Starting November 1st, 2025, the free plan will be discontinued.
Free users will continue to have access to their existing work through November 1st, 2025, after which a subscription will be required to keep creating new songs and accessing premium features.

Why this change?

Our free plan helped thousands of new songwriters discover Songwriter’s Pad AI. But as we continue to expand the platform — with cloud sync, AI processing, and ongoing updates — it’s no longer sustainable to offer these features indefinitely at no cost.

Moving to a subscription model allows us to keep the platform fast, reliable, and full of new creative tools for everyone.

  • Who: All users currently on the free plan (able to write up to 3 songs).

  • When: Your free access continues through October 31, 2025.
